Who You Are
As an Generator Electrician, you will play a key role in the installation, repair, and maintenance of home standby generators. You'll be empowered to independently make complex technical decisions that consistently deliver safe, code-compliant, and professionally finished electrical installations with outstanding visual quality. Your goal? To deliver excellent service while building long-lasting relationships and growing the business.
Essential Job Functions
  • Install, diagnose, and repair residential standby generators and related electrical systems.
  • Assist with generator placement and preparation for plumbing installation.
  • Conduct general electrical/service calls and routine generator maintenance including oil changes, filter replacements, and system checks on an as-needed basis.
  • Ensure all electrical work complies with industry standards, safety requirements, and company protocols.
  • Perform timely, high-quality installations with neat, professional workmanship.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with homeowners and municipal inspectors.
  • Collaborate with plumbers and team members to maintain a safe, efficient work environment.
  • Prepare materials, equipment, and project timelines each day.
  • Lift 50+ lbs and work in outdoor environments.

Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Generac Certified Technician
  • 3+ years of Electrical Service experience
  • Residential Wireman License at a minimum
  • Strong communication/interpersonal/customer service skills
  • A strong baseline understanding of the current Electrical Code and safety
  • Ability to:
    • Inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot electrical devices and systems
    • Learn and adapt to evolving processes and technologies
    • Exercise sound independent judgment in technical situations
    • Manage multiple tasks with accuracy and attention to detail
    • Work in confined spaces such as attics and crawlspaces
    • Perform physical tasks such as digging/excavating in varied soil conditions
    • Work outdoors in extreme temperatures

  • Computer and technology savvy to input/update jobs into computer system
  • Reliable & punctual attendance

Compensation & Hours
  • Pay: $25-$30/hr; some overtime may be required
  • Hours: Generally 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m, Monday-Friday. Some jobs may require an earlier start or a later finish depending on distance or complexity. Occasional weekends

Candidates must successfully pass a drug test and background check.
