Deployment Specialist / Generator Technician (California)


$38$42/hr Full-Time Field Technician 80% Travel

Make an impact in a highdemand, fastmoving field role that keeps critical operations powered. Were hiring a Deployment Specialist / Generator Technician to support generator deployment, retrieval, fueling, and maintenance across California. This is an excellent opportunity for mechanically inclined professionals who enjoy handson fieldwork, travel, and independent problemsolving.

About the Role

As a key member of our field operations team, you will:

  • Travel to job sites (~80% travel) across California to support equipment deployment and service.
  • Deploy, retrieve, refuel, and maintain portable generator units.
  • Operate trailers, trucks, forklifts, and lifting equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, equipment inspections, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Maintain accurate documentation including fuel logs, service records, and safety reports.
  • Work outdoors in all weather conditions while following strict Cal/OSHA safety standards.

This role is ideal for those with experience in field service, mechanical work, power generation, diesel/gas engines, or equipment operations.

What Youll Bring

  • Valid CA drivers license and ability to pass a DOT physical
  • OSHA 10, CPR, First Aid, and Forklift training) (or willingness to obtain)
  • 1 year of generator deployment, generator field service, or related mechanical/equipment experience (preferred, not required)
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in outdoor jobsite environments
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and a proactive, safetyfirst approach
  • Reliability, good communication skills, and the ability to work independently in the field
