Key responsibilities

  • Perform repairs and maintenance on golf carts, LSVs, and all-terrain vehicles, including mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.

  • Set up carts for display each morning, pull them in each evening, and prepare vehicles for display and delivery.

  • Assist with customer interactions, including follow-up support, basic sales support, and communication regarding repairs and purchasing options.

  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and professional showroom.
  • Detailing and preparing vehicles for display and delivery.
  • Following up with customers to support sales and service.
  • Setting up carts for display each morning and pulling them in each evening
  • Cleaning and organizing of the work space/ Showroom and Vehicles
  • Fix, deliver and maintain golf carts, assist mechanics and or owner in service calls and maintenance.
  • During off season , winter months you may be asked to help with other job duties and business adventures.
  • Perform comprehensive diagnostics on electric golf carts, LSVs, and all-terrain vehicles using advanced diagnostic tools and electrical testing equipment.
  • Conduct repairs on mechanical systems including brakes, suspension, steering, and engine components, ensuring vehicles meet safety standards.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues, solder connections, replace wiring harnesses, and repair electronic control modules for optimal vehicle performance.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques to disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicle components efficiently.
  • Maintain detailed service records, complete inspection reports, and document repairs accurately for each vehicle serviced.
  • Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire replacements, battery exchanges, and general upkeep to prolong vehicle lifespan.
  • Support heavy lifting activities safely while adhering to safety protocols during all repair procedures.

Experience

  • Proven dealership or service technician experience with automotive engine systems repair, electrical diagnostics, and mechanical systems repair.
  • Hands-on experience with powersports engines, golf cart and low speed vechicles, all-terrain vehicle repair, and basic vehicle troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with automotive diagnostics tools, soldering techniques, welding processes, suspension work, brake repair, and assembly procedures.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients about repairs and maintenance needs.
  • Ability to operate heavy machinery safely while performing repairs that require physical strength and precision.
  • Prior experience in automotive or powersports repair environments is highly preferred; certification in automotive technology or related fields is a plus.
  • Conduct test drives and functional checks after repairs/assembly.
  • Assist with warranty-related tasks (photos, documentation, basic troubleshooting) as directed.
  • Pick up and deliver golf carts and merchandise as assigned.
  • Safely operate a truck and trailer (progressing to independent deliveries/pickups as experience and training allow).
  • Complete basic customer walk-throughs upon delivery when needed.
  • Maintain safe driving practices and comply with SC Carts policies and California driving laws at all times.
  • Communicate professionally with customers regarding service/repairs, drop-off/pickup, and general product questions.
  • Communicate with prospective customers about repair work or purchasing options.
  • When customers walk in, assist with basic sales support: discuss makes/models, answer questions, and capture contact information for follow-up.
  • Maintain working knowledge of new, refurbished, and used carts.
  • Follow and complete the goals list provided by Employer.
  • Communicate with customers at drop-off/pickup to confirm concerns, review work performed, and obtain acknowledgements as needed.
  • Collect payment from customers when required and follow SC Carts payment procedures.
  • List and post SC Carts inventory on Facebook Marketplace, OfferUp, and other sales platforms as assigned.
  • Keep listings accurate and updated (availability, pricing, photos, basic specs) per Employer direction.
  • General warehouse organization, cleaning, and maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Clean, detail, wash, and wax golf carts, showroom, warehouse, trailer, work truck, and other company vehicles/equipment as assigned.
  • If there is downtime (no immediate mechanical tasks), Employee must proactively:
  • clean, organize, detail carts/vehicles/showroom/warehouse,
  • restock/organize tools and work areas, and/or
  • assist with other assigned operational tasks.
