WHAT'S A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A LOAN SERVICING SPECIALIST?
As a new Loan Servicing Specialist at Generations Bank, you can expect a hands-on experience that revolves around delivering exceptional customer service. Your daily responsibilities will include:
  • Loan Boarding & System Management: Execute the accurate boarding of completed loans onto the bank's host system, managing critical data including collateral, UCC information, borrowing bases, and appraisals.
  • Quality Assurance & Auditing: Perform rigorous QA by auditing loan documentation, collateral perfection, and insurance tracking to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Financial Servicing & Balancing: Manage complex payment processing, account balancing, and general ledger reconciliations, including the resolution of daily G/L outages and participation account maintenance.
  • Escrow & Exception Administration: Oversee the full lifecycle of escrow files-including analysis, vendor payments, and notifications-while managing exception tracking through specialized software.
  • Records & Documentation Integrity: Maintain electronic and physical loan files using FCM systems, ensuring all required documents are scanned, indexed, and verified for completeness.
  • Cross-Functional Support: Provide technical and administrative support to lending staff, loan assistants, and processing teams, assisting with data research, clean-up, and collateral releases.

Communication is key, as you'll collaborate with team members to resolve any issues and enhance the customer experience. You'll also be responsible for maintaining meticulous records and documentation to ensure accountability in all transactions. Expect to work Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a structured yet flexible work environment.
