Job Description
As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for picking orders using an RF scanning gun in a timely and efficient manner to meet customer expectations while ensuring safety at all times.
Responsibilities
• Pull orders accurately as assigned for daily deliveries using an RF scanner
• Stage orders according to truck location and verify the accuracy of pallets, etc.
• Load trucks for daily and special deliveries
• May use power equipment including, but not limited to forklift, hand tools, etc.
• Recognize damaged product at any point in the process and take appropriate action
• May operate a forklift or other warehouse machinery
• Assist customers and/or drivers in loading materials into vehicles and trucks
• Performs housekeeping duties and other duties as assigned
• Pull orders accurately as assigned for daily deliveries using an RF scanner
• Stage orders according to truck location and verify the accuracy of pallets, etc.
• Load trucks for daily and special deliveries
• May use power equipment including, but not limited to forklift, hand tools, etc.
• Recognize damaged product at any point in the process and take appropriate action
• May operate a forklift or other warehouse machinery
• Assist customers and/or drivers in loading materials into vehicles and trucks

Qualifications
• Experience working in a fast-paced, distribution or warehouse environment preferred, but not required
• High attention to detail and strong math skills to ensure accuracy
• Ability to follow direction and safe operating procedures
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. repetitively throughout the shift without assistance (weight varies based on product)
• Work at heights of 20 ft. on a regular basis
• Ability to be trained to use forklifts and other warehouse machinery
• Ability to work on his/her feet including walking for extended periods of time
• Willing to work overtime as needed
