Job Title: General Store Attendant

Reports to: General Store Manager, General Store Supervisor, Food & Beverage Director

Status: Non-Exempt

Job Type: Seasonal

Position Summary: The General Store Attendant is to provide excellent services to our members and their guests in a friendly, courteous, timely manner and to preserve Mountaintop Standards. Team members are responsible for greeting members, guests, and employees with friendly assistance in selection of merchandise, taking orders, and handling of food & preparation of beverage items.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following as well as other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned.

  • Adaptable to Seasonal “Black-Out” Dates
  • Greet members promptly and courteously upon arrival into the store.
  • Assist members in merchandise and food selection.
  • Prepare food and drink orders; ensure proper handling of food and products.
  • Disassembly and cleaning of equipment, dishes, utensils, and kitchen stations.
  • Follow proper washing, sanitation, and safety procedures.
  • Follow procedures in processing member transactions.
  • Follow opening and closing procedures.
  • Assist with verification of shipments/deliveries.
  • Constant familiarization with member identification shared with co-workers.
  • Assist with training new hires.
  • Take direction from managerial staff on necessary assignments and duties.
  • Share with other employees daily monitoring & responsibilities of our chickens & goats.
  • Continually straighten and restock General Store merchandise and product.
  • Preparation and stocking of all products.
  • Constantly update yourself with product knowledge.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

  • Prior experience in café, dining room, retail, or related fields.
  • Capacity to stand and walk for up to 10 hours per day.
  • Proficiency in reaching, bending, lifting, carrying, and stooping consistently.
  • Capability to handle items weighing between 0 to 75 lbs.
  • Aptitude to receive direction and execute tasks accordingly.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform under pressure.
  • Outgoing personality with excellent communication skills.
  • Comfortable with basic computer operations.
  • Willingness to adapt to a flexible work schedule.
