Please note, this is a seasonal-based position in our Soil Salinity laboratory with an anticipated end date of November 30th 2026. This role will require evening and weekend availability. 
What you will be doing:

• Perform basic laboratory procedures including preparation of samples, reagents and calibration solutions
• Provide general lab support including washing glassware, cleaning work stations and waste disposal
• The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to completing all necessary tasks with careful attention to detail. 
• Calibrate, operate, maintain and troubleshoot instruments
• Compile, verify and validate accurate data records
• Meet quality assurance and turn around specifications
• Follow all Quality Control and Standard Operating Procedures
• Report results
• Other duties as assigned

• 1+ years laboratory experience considered an asset
• Intermediate computer skills required
• Previous experience showing the importance of meeting all documentation and and procedural standards. 
• Ability to work in a diligent manner in a pressured environment
• Hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Problem solving, communication, organization, and time management
