We are seeking an Animal Scientist I, for our bovine practice, who will join a team of animal scientists and practitioners across multiple locations in Canada and globally. This position is based at our Lethbridge, Alberta location. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing expert nutritional consultation and support to our clients, ensuring optimal performance, health, and welfare of their cattle.

What you'll do

  • Assist clients in obtaining optimal performance, health, and welfare while supporting economic returns through efficient production animal management.
  • Provide the most up-to-date and professional consultation services to help cattle producers raise healthy, productive cattle.
  • Conduct regular on-farm visits with clients and management to support feeding initiatives.
  • Review client data and research to provide evidence-based recommendations.
  • Work with an amazing team of nutritionists, veterinarians, researchers, and others every day.

What you bring

  • Master of Sciences or PhD focusing on ruminant nutrition, animal science, range management, or a related field is required.
  • Strong communication and proactive problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and research to provide evidence-based recommendations.
  • Dedication to assisting clients in achieving optimal cattle performance and health.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of professionals.
  • Practical experience in on-farm consultation and management.
  • Flexibility to work in various agricultural environments and adapt to changing conditions.
