Job description

J. Blanton Plumbing is a fast-growing residential plumbing company expanding into Columbus, Ohio. As we continue to grow, we are looking for an organized, dependable, and proactive Office Assistant to help keep our new Columbus office running smoothly.

This is an on-site position for someone who enjoys staying organized, helping others, managing day-to-day office needs, and making sure things get done.

The Role

As the Office Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the Columbus office. You will work closely with employees, managers, vendors, and leadership to keep the office organized, supplied, and running efficiently.

Office Operations

  • Keep the office organized, clean, and professional
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail
  • Order and maintain office supplies
  • Organize paperwork, documents, and files
  • Maintain digital and physical filing systems
  • Coordinate deliveries, packages, and shipments
  • Receive and organize office deliveries
  • Help manage office equipment and supplies
  • Communicate with vendors and service providers as needed
  • Help coordinate office maintenance and repairs
  • Keep common areas and workspaces organized
  • Assist with basic office errands when needed


Employee Support & Onboarding

  • Assist with new employee onboarding
  • Prepare paperwork and onboarding materials
  • Help ensure new hires have the necessary documents and supplies
  • Assist with setting up new employees for the office
  • Help coordinate uniforms, equipment, keys, badges, and other materials
  • Maintain organized employee paperwork and records
  • Support employees with general office-related questions



Administrative Support

  • Prepare, organize, and process paperwork
  • Enter and maintain information in company systems
  • Make copies, scan documents, and organize records
  • Assist managers and leadership with administrative tasks
  • Help coordinate meetings and office activities
  • Track office supplies and place orders when needed
  • Assist with scheduling and coordination of deliveries and vendors
  • Handle other administrative projects as assigned

Requirements

  • Previous experience in an office, administrative, receptionist, coordinator, or similar role preferred
