Our Manager in Training program is designed to prepare high-potential individuals for future leadership opportunities through hands-on experience, mentorship, and professional development.
Position Overview
The Manager in Training (MIT) program is designed for motivated individuals who aspire to build a long-term career in leadership. As a Manager in Training, you will be assigned to a specific operational department where you will work directly alongside an experienced manager. Through structured training, coaching, and real-world experience, you will learn the responsibilities of managing a high-performing team while gaining a comprehensive understanding of department operations.
As the company continues to expand, successful participants will be positioned to transition into an Operations Manager role leading their own department or team.
Key Responsibilities
• Work alongside an assigned department manager to learn daily operational responsibilities and leadership practices.
• Develop a thorough understanding of departmental workflows, processes, and performance expectations.
• Assist with coordinating daily team activities and ensuring operational objectives are met.
• Learn how to monitor and improve departmental key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Participate in coaching, training, and developing team members under the guidance of your manager.
• Support process improvement initiatives that increase efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand how departments work together to achieve company goals.
• Assist with workforce planning, scheduling, and resource coordination.
• Participate in leadership meetings, planning sessions, and operational reviews.
• Build the knowledge and leadership skills necessary to successfully transition into a management role.
Qualifications
• 1-3+ years of professional experience, preferably in operations, customer service, project coordination, or the solar industry.
• Demonstrated leadership potential with a desire to pursue a management career.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Comfortable working with data, metrics, and process improvement initiatives.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and willingness to learn operational software platforms.
• Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field is preferred but not required.
• Solar industry experience is preferred but not required.
