General Management Consultant - Associate

Join our team of high-end strategy and management consultants and professionals who have served on the front lines of homeland security, law enforcement, criminal justice, emergency management, and the military. Have an immediate impact and grow your career at the same time!
Job Summary: The General Management Consultant - Associate will support the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) in a variety of tasks that support CISA's overall mission to reduce and manage cyber risk. Tasks will involve knowledge management support, business process improvement and communications efforts related to acquisition and budget activities centered around management of cybersecurity contracts.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Write, format, or review/edit reports, presentations, spreadsheets, and other project documentation
  • Draft and maintain standard operating procedures
  • Draft fact sheets and success stories
  • Track milestones and maintain project trackers
  • Identify, recommend, and implement business process improvements to streamline and standardize project activities
  • Assist with conducting interviews with project stakeholders
  • Provide daily program and operations support by coordinating tasks, documenting issues and action items, supporting meetings, and developing program briefs and talking points
  • Organize and maintain files and content on SharePoint sites; this includes using and maintaining SharePoint lists and other SharePoint tools
  • Draft email communications and training presentations for various project rollouts
  • Provide meeting planning, notetaking and logistics support

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Up to 3 years of experience (preferably in management consulting)
  • Experience supporting project managers with organizing and tracking document review, tracking and adhering to project schedules, adjudicating comments, creating and editing slide presentations, creating and following SOPs, and notetaking
  • Solid skills in Excel to create and manipulate spreadsheets, filter data, format tables and charts
  • Familiarity with, or ability to quickly learn, information and collaboration technologies, including Microsoft Planner, Teams, and SharePoint to evaluate, create, store, and communicate information.
  • Excellent oral and written communication/presentation skills.
  • Strong cultural fit and value alignment with Lafayette Group, Inc.
  • Ability to attain a U.S. government public trust and/or security clearance, if required.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Current DHS or CISA Entry on Duty (EOD) status
  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint
  • Basic knowledge of federal contracting/procurement
  • Experience and/or interest in homeland security and cybersecurity/IT programs and concepts

Federal Contracts: This position involves working on federal contracts that require all workers on the contract to be U.S. Citizens. Additionally, some contracts may require the ability to obtain a security clearance.
Salary Range: $60K - $65K
