What does a General Litigation Attorney do?

A General Litigation Attorney represents individuals or organizations in a wide range of legal disputes that may go to court, such as contract issues, personal injury claims, or business disagreements. They handle all phases of the litigation process, including investigation, pleadings, discovery, pre-trial, trial, settlement, and appeal if necessary. Their work involves both advocating for clients in the courtroom and negotiating settlements outside of court. General litigation attorneys must be skilled in research, writing, negotiation, and oral advocacy.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a General Litigation Attorney, and why are they important?

To thrive as a General Litigation Attorney, you need a Juris Doctor (JD) degree, bar admission, strong legal research, analytical, and advocacy skills.
