Summary
THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a INTELLIGENCE OPERATIONS SPECIALIST (TITLE 32), Position Description Number NGD1652P01 and is part of the TN 118th WING Air National Guard.

As an INTELLIGENCE OPERATIONS SPECIALIST, GS-0132-11, you will serve as a ISR unit crewmember in the multi-INT exploitation section, responsible for multi-INT targeting operations and production affecting time critical targeting (TCT), direct threat warning, battle damage assessment, combat identification, multi-INT correlation, threat analysis, mapping, intelligence preparation of the battlespace, situation monitoring, and mission reporting. Conduct analysis activities and operations from data derived from manned, unmanned, and other operational assets in support of National Agencies, Joint Commands, Air Force MAJCOMs, and AOCs contingencies and exercises. Prepare reports from analysis of target data for general intelligence and operational community consumption. Create and update the unit's classified and unclassified intelligence reference libraries in accordance with supervisor, ANG, MAJCOM, and Air Force instructions. Work with other crewmembers to ensure the multi-INT exploitation section maintains a capability to provide timely and accurate operational intelligence support and fully trained intelligence personnel during peacetime and contingency operations. Represent the unit in making agreements and commitments within the assigned scope of his/her functional specialty. Coordinate multi-INT training requirements with Gaining Command Intelligence Section. Perform other duties as assigned.

  • This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement.
  • Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.
  • Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment.
  • Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement.
  • Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
  • May be required to successfully complete a trial period.
  • Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
  • Required to perform shift work and may be required to work uncommon tours on short notice.
  • For positions requiring the operation of motor vehicles, candidates must have a valid state driver's license for the state in which they live or are principally employed.
  • Acceptance of a Federal position may terminate Tricare Reserve Select eligibility.
  • Applicant must complete a Baseline Pre-Placement Screening for General Schedule positions within 30 days of appointment.
  • For positions requiring a Polygraph, the applicant must possess or be able to obtain a CI polygraph within one year of appointment.
  • Must obtain and maintain a Top-Secret clearance and be eligible for access to Special Compartmented Information (SCI).
  • Irregular and/or overtime (compensatory) hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day.
  • For positions requiring a security clearance of (Secret or Top Secret) the applicant must possess or be able to obtain a clearance within one year of appointment.
  • Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed in the qualifications section of this announcement.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE
: Experience, education, or training which demonstrates administrative, professional, investigative, or technical work requiring the ability to deal effectively with others, to collect, evaluate and organize pertinent facts. Experience preparing clear and concise written reports.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 36 months or 1-year at the next lower level experience, education or training developing and recommending policy, organizing and carrying out specific programs, evaluating and recommending changes in methods of intelligence operations. Experience in administrative, investigative, or technical work which required the applicant to deal effectively with others. Experience collecting, evaluating and organizing pertinent facts and to analyze and prepare clear and concise reports.
