Job description

Support essential maintenance and construction activities that help ensure safe, functional, and well-maintained facilities.

Be You.

Assist skilled tradesmen and perform semi-skilled duties in the installation, maintenance and repair of equipment and facilities and in the construction, maintenance, upkeep and renovation of buildings, structures and fixtures.

Work Arrangement - Onsite

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Training - Work requires an education/training background normally equivalent to high school with course work in skilled crafts or trades.

Experience - No experience required.

Work Performed

  • Assist skilled tradesmen to include plumbers, steamfitters, electricians, carpenters, painters and welders in assigned work.
  • Perform semi-skilled tasks in assigned building or mechanical trade; mix mortar and plaster; select, cut and trim lumber; cut, thread, assemble and install pipes and tubing; clean electrical appliances and equipment, trace short circuits, replace fixtures and check switches and fuse boxes.
  • Maintain adequate supply of tools and materials, load and unload materials and transport to designated locations utilizing a variety of equipment as required.
  • Remove walls, baseboards, doors, window screens, plaster, bricks and blocks to facilitate repair or renovation.

Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
