With more than 75 years of combined industry expertise driving its approach, they specialize in preconstruction, design‑build services, general contracting, and construction management for a diverse portfolio of projects. With all projects local to the Metro Detroit area, they are looking for a talented Project Manager to join their growing team! Description Conduct thorough evaluations of project scopes and bids, ultimately selecting and awarding work to partnering trades. Oversee procurement activities by negotiating agreements with trade partners and securing major equipment needed for the project. Develop detailed work packages outlining expectations and deliverables for each trade partner. Review and authorize billing from vendors and trade partners, including issuing and validating change directives when required. Manage client‑facing financial components such as change requests, contingency utilization, and allowance tracking. Produce monthly forecasts outlining projected financial performance for active projects. Create and keep current a comprehensive project timeline that guides overall field and administrative activities. Identify design features or construction factors that could influence schedule performance and adjust plans proactively. Track field progress regularly to confirm alignment with established timelines and address emerging delays. Facilitate recurring progress check‑ins with clients to communicate updates and maintain alignment. Ensure construction operations are executed in accordance with the officially published schedule. Review and provide feedback on the Superintendent's short‑term (three‑week) planning updates. Champion jobsite safety by setting clear expectations and modeling strong safety‑first behavior. Investigate any incidents on the jobsite, documenting findings and contributing to corrective measures. Lead project kickoff discussions to align teams before construction activities begin. Facilitate weekly coordination sessions with owners, trade partners, and key stakeholders. Visit active jobsites to evaluate progress and verify that workmanship meets required quality standards. Profile Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field. 5+ years of experience in a Project Manager role. Experience working on commercial, retail, financial, hospitality, healthcare, and higher education projects ranging in $3M-$5M in value. Experience running multiple projects simultaneously. Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, market conditions, and subcontractor trades. Proficiency in software and project management tools. Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills. Highly organized with strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
