 Job Description: 
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Project Manager to join our team and play a crucial role in delivering exceptional construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects within scope, timeline, and budget while ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety. As a Project Manager at J&L Builders, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage resources, and maintain clear communication with clients and stakeholders on multiple projects.
 
Job duties: 
  • Plan, schedule, and manage construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to project specifications, budget constraints, and timelines.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Review project plans and prepare scope of work, budgets, schedules, and resource allocation.
  • Monitor project progress and identify potential risks or issues, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Coordinate procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractor services to ensure timely project execution.
  • Review on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Provide regular project updates to clients and stakeholders, addressing any concerns or changes in project scope.
  • Lead project meetings and facilitate effective communication among team members, subcontractors, and clients.
  • Manage project budgets and financials, tracking expenses, approving invoices, and addressing any cost overruns.
  • Evaluate project performance against key metrics and objectives, implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure all project documentation, permits, and regulatory requirements are properly maintained and filed.
  • Mentor and supervise project team members, providing guidance, feedback, and professional development opportunities.
  • Develop, review, and facilitate RFI’s, submittals and change orders.
  • Work schedule: Full-time salary, may require weekend and shift work depending upon project requirements.
  • Other duties as required.
 
Qualifications: 
  • Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is a plus.
  • 2+ years of experience in project management within the commercial construction industry.
  • Proficient knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and best practices.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
  • Proven ability to manage project budgets, schedules, and resources effectively.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.  Software currently utilized are: Word, Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, Autodesk Build, Building Connected.
  • Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to safety and quality standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude.
  • Physical requirements:  Must be able to lift and carry at least 50 pounds.
  • Travel requirements: must have a valid driver’s license and must be insurable by the Company’s insurance carrier.  Travel based on jobsite locations within the surrounding Sacramento Valley Region.
  • Background check and drug testing required for position.
Currently this position is remote.  Office is anticipated being purchased around Rocklin, Ca in the near future and in-office would be required at that time.
