Job description

You’re the Project Manager’s operational partner and the Superintendent’s organizational anchor. You keep information flowing, paperwork accurate, and the project moving. It’s a mix of coordination, documentation, and problem-solving — the work that keeps a job from drifting off course. You will be assisting at the crossroads of a rapidly growing General Contractor, building high-end luxury homes and small to medium multi-unit apartment buildings mainly inside RTE 128 and north of Boston city center. Though this is a junior role, you will get to interact with all departments. You will get be part PM, Part Super, Part Estimator, part Operations and you’ll get to see the trades operating on site. But most importantly, you must have a great attitude and be 100% ambitious.

Core Responsibilities Project Coordination
  • Keep communication clear between the GC, subs, design team, and owner.
  • Prepare meeting agendas, minutes, and follow-up items that actually get done.
  • Track commitments and make sure nothing slips through the cracks.
Documentation & Controls
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and all project logs.
  • Maintain clean, current documentation in Procore (or equivalent).
  • Support change management by gathering pricing, drafting CORs, and tracking approvals.
Procurement
  • Assist with subcontractor buyout and scope reviews.
  • Monitor material lead times and long-lead items.
  • Coordinate deliveries so the field has what they need when they need it.
Scheduling
  • Support schedule updates and track critical activities.
  • Flag risks early and communicate impacts clearly.
  • Help keep the team aligned on upcoming milestones.
  Financial Support
  • Assist with monthly requisitions, cost tracking, and budget updates.
  • Review subcontractor invoices for accuracy.
  • Maintain logs for allowances, contingencies, and change orders.
Quality & Safety
  • Support the Superintendent with field documentation, daily reports, and punch list tracking.
  • Help ensure subcontractors follow safety and quality expectations.
  • Participate in site walks and inspections.
Client & Design Team Interaction
  • Prepare progress reports and status updates.
  • Maintain professional, timely communication with owners, architects, and engineers.
  • Represent the GC with competence and calm.
Closeout
  • Compile O&Ms, warranties, as-builts, and turnover packages.
  • Track and close punch list items.
  • Ensure all documentation is complete and organized.
What You Bring
  • Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent experience.
  • 1–3 years with a GC or CM firm.
  • Proficiency (or at least some experience) with Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project/P6, and Microsoft Office or similar construction software.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read drawings and understand construction sequencing.
  • Clear communicator who follows through.
