POSITION OVERVIEW
 
  • Develop structural designs for multi-family residential buildings and commercial spaces, ensuring compliance with local codes and regulations.
  •  Perform structural analysis using software and manual calculations to ensure safety, stability, and durability.
  •  Work closely with architects, project managers, and other engineering disciplines to integrate structural designs into overall project plans.
  •  Participate in project meetings, providing technical expertise and guidance.
  •  Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including specifications, reports, and proposals
  •  Monitor construction progress and provide on-site support to ensure adherence to design specifications.
  •  Conduct field inspections and assessments to verify the integrity of structures during construction and after completion.
  •  Ensure that all structural work meets quality standards and is completed on schedule.

 
 QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation in Manitoba or eligibility to obtain.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering, preferably in the construction of multi-family and commercial projects.
  • Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD).
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, standards, and best practices in structural engineering.
