Job description

Ultra fast drone delivery is live and delivering to customers! Prime Air - Amazon's ultra fast drone delivery service is growing and scaling!
How do you get items to customers quickly, cost-effectively, and-most importantly-safely, in less than an hour? And how do you do it in a way that can scale? Our teams of hundreds of scientists, engineers, aerospace professionals, and futurists have been working hard to do just that! We are delivering to customers, and are excited for what's to come. Check out more information about Prime Air on the About Amazon blog (https://www.aboutamazon.com/news/transportation/amazon-prime-air-drone-delivery-mk30-photos).
If you are seeking an iterative environment where you can drive innovation, apply state-of-the-art technologies to solve real world delivery challenges, and provide benefits to customers, Prime Air is the place for you.
Come work on the Amazon Prime Air Team!
Key job responsibilities
As Sr Program Manager for the Marketing, Planning, Supply Chain, Data & Annotation team (MPSD&A), reporting to the organization Director, you drive organization-level program management - bringing the team together to deliver results quickly and efficiently, drive improvement, and ensure the Prime Air program plan is achieved.
You manage complex initiatives across multiple teams within and beyond your organization at the senior and executive leadership level, delivering critical solutions, significant improvements, and new mechanisms, or deprecating processes no longer needed.
Accountable for a large program's overall strategy, you manage all stages from concept to delivery, meeting challenging business goals and driving measurable improvements in customer experience, business or employee efficiency, execution, compliance adherence, financial performance, and other metrics.
You understand the interdependencies of the problems you solve - aligned workflows, customer requirements, process limitations, legal or compliance requirements, and program support - and influence team priorities and strategy through data-driven contributions, making the case for project priorities, resource allocation (employees, budget, travel), and program adoption to achieve business outcomes, resolve deficiencies, or unblock delivery.
You communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, up to Directors and VPs - fostering constructive dialogue, harmonizing discordant views, and leading contentious issues to consensus. You partner with customers, stakeholders, and engineering teams.
You set the example: delivering the right things, defining clear goals, driving crisp decisions on project priority, and proactively surfacing risks with mitigation plans before they become roadblocks. As a simplifier, you add, refine, and remove procedures to boost productivity. You participate in hiring and mentor others to get things done.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
- Knowledge of general AI tools
- Experience designing, implementing, and scaling upskilling, apprenticeship, or workforce development programs across large-scale operations or corporate environments, including forecasting workforce needs and leveraging analytics to drive program decisions
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
- Experience in supply chain such as contracting, demand management and/or planning and procurement, and supply chain operations
