Job description

What You'll Get to Do

The Machine Operator is focused on calibrating machine/equipment for the desired quality and specification of metal and reports to the Production Supervisor.

This role is perfect for an individual who has attention to detail (safety, quality, efficiency), strong work ethic/reliability, and is a problem solver.  A vital member of the Fabrication Department, this is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Perform general aluminum fabrication, assembly, and packaging using hand and power tools.
  • Set up and operate equipment to drill, cut, and prepare aluminum components per work orders and schedules.
  • Measure, weigh, label, and pack materials according to shipping requirements, ensuring proper protection and accuracy.
  • Inspect products for quality defects and ensure compliance with specifications and drawings.
  • Read and interpret drawings, labels, and work instructions; complete basic documentation using shop floor systems or RF equipment.

What We Are Looking For.

  • Experience using power tools and reading a tape measure (to 1/32").
  • Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and perform basic math (fractions/decimals).
  • Experience operating or willingness to learn equipment such as pallet jacks (manual/motorized) and cranes (preferred).
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and handle small and large components safely.
  • Strong safety mindset, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while communicating effectively with team members.
