Your role as a Entry Level Aluminum Extrusion Laborer
As an Entry Level Aluminum Extrusion Laborer at Flextrude, you will engage in a variety of tasks daily. Expect to operate machinery, assist in the extrusion process, and perform quality control checks on products. You will work closely with experienced team members to learn best practices and safety protocols.
Responsibilities may also include preparing materials, cleaning workstations, and packaging finished goods for shipment. Your schedule will consist of rotating shifts, which allows for flexibility and varied experiences on the job. Shifts are as follows: 1st shift from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, 2nd shift from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, and 3rd shift from 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM.
There is a $1.00 per hour shift differential for 2nd shift and $2.00 per hour shift differential for 3rd shift.
The position requires commitment from Monday through Saturday, fostering a strong work ethic and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
What you need to be successful
To succeed as an Entry Level Aluminum Extrusion Laborer at Flextrude, candidates should possess a strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn. Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

  • willingness to learn and cross-train on extrusion machinery with a training program consiting of:
  • Initially starting as a saw helper
  • The next step in the training will be as a saw operator
  • After learning the saw operator position, you will learn to be a tail stretcher
  • The next step in your training will be a head stretcher
  • The goal of our training program is for you to complete the above training and then learn to be an Extrusion Press operator
