Home Comfort Experts is looking for a highly-motivated Generator Technician to join their team in Valparaiso, IN. They specialize in providing the highest quality residential plumbing, HVAC, indoor air quality products, and back up power services; always ensuring 100% client satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Service/repair generators, install generators, change air filters, change oil, check battery levels, check spark plugs, etc.
  • Perform on-site planned maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and troubleshooting for customers generators (including DC & AC voltage equipment)
  • Work independently or with a small team with a work vehicle serving residential and commercial standby generators. 

Requirements:

  • Maintenance & repair, troubleshooting and field service skills, specifically with generators
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues
  • Experience in generator maintenance and servicing
  • Knowledge of electrical systems and components
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. frequently
  • Valid driver’s license
