The Impact You'll Make
When the lights go out, youll be the reason they come back on. As a Whole-House Generator Technician, youll install, maintain, and repair Generac standby power systems that protect families, safeguard businesses, and keep life moving during outages. Your expertise will directly impact the comfort, safety, and security of our customers.
What You'll Do
  • Install and commission Generac whole-house standby generators, including electrical and gas connections.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance, load testing, and system diagnostics to ensure peak performance.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and control system issues.
  • Program and configure generator control panels and automatic transfer switches (ATS).
  • Educate customers on system operation, maintenance schedules, and safety procedures.
  • Maintain accurate service records and communicate clearly with the office and customers.
What You'll Bring
  • Experience installing and servicing standby generators (Generac certification preferred).
  • Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Familiarity with local electrical and gas codes.
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
