Position Overview
The Personal Lines Account Manager is responsible for managing and servicing an assigned book of personal insurance clients while supporting the retention growth of agency relationships. This role works closely with clients, insurance carriers, and internal teammates to provide proactive service, coordinate renewals, review coverage needs and deliver insurance solutions that align with clients' evolving needs.

What You'll Do
Client Service & Account Management

  • Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for assigned personal insurance clients.
  • Build andmaintainstrong client relationships through proactive communication and exceptional service.
  • Advise clientsregardingpolicy changes, coverage options, endorsements, billing questions, and insurance solutions.
  • Processpolicy changes, endorsements, cancellations, evidence of insurance, and other servicing requests.
  • Respond promptly to client inquiries via phone, email, and other communication channels.
  • Assistclients with claims reporting and coordinate with carriers to support the claims process.
  • Maintain complete andaccurateclient records within the agency management system.


Renewals & Account Retention

  • Manage the renewal process for assigned accounts.
  • Review renewal policies for accuracy, coverage adequacy, and client needs.
  • Present renewal options and discuss coverage recommendations with clients.
  • Identifycross-sell and account rounding opportunities whenappropriate.
  • Coordinate with carriers to secure competitive solutions andmaintainstrong retention levels.
  • Ensure all renewals are completed accurately and within agency timelines.


New Business Support

  • Assistwith quoting and placement of new personallinesaccounts.
  • Gather underwriting information and prepare carrier submissions.
  • Prepare proposals and coverage comparisons for clients.
  • Obtain signatures,requireddocumentation, and completed applications.
  • Support Producers and referral partners in deliveringa seamlessclient experience.


Coverage Analysis & Compliance

  • Review client insurance programs toidentifypotential gaps in coverage.
  • Educate clientsregardingavailablecoveragesand policy enhancements.
  • Maintain compliance with agency procedures, carrier requirements, and industry regulations.
  • Ensure all client files and communications are documented accurately and thoroughly.


What We're Looking For


Qualifications

  • Active California Property & Casualty Licenserequired.
  • Minimum 3 years of Personal Lines insurance experience.
  • Experience managing a Personal Lines book of business.
  • Strong understanding of personal insurancecoveragesincluding Homeowners, Auto, Umbrella, Renters, Condominium, and Recreational Vehicle policies.
  • Experience working directly with insurance carriers and clients.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer service and relationship management abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiencywith Microsoft Office and agency management systems.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with high-net-worth or affluent personallinesclients.
  • Experience marketing personallinesaccounts with multiple carriers.
  • Knowledge ofcarrierunderwriting guidelines and personallinesrating.
  • Experience with Applied Epic or similar agency management systems.
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus.
