Architect the Future of Construction: Customer Segment Product Manager

Are you ready to be the North Star for global construction technology? By joining the CTCT joint venture between Trimble and Caterpillar, you will bridge the gap between digital innovation and heavy machinery. You will cultivate deep customer insights, work with a dedicated segment cohort, and build a strategy that ensures our positioning and control products become essential tools for earthmoving, paving, and compaction experts worldwide.

About Us:

With relentless innovation in precise positioning, modeling and data analytics, Trimble enables essential industries including construction, geospatial and transportation. Whether it's helping customers build and maintain infrastructure, design and construct buildings, optimize global supply chains or map the world, Trimble is at the forefront, driving productivity and progress.

About Caterpillar Trimble Control Technologies (CTCT)

The CTCT division (a joint venture between Trimble and Caterpillar) develops positioning, control, and automation products for earthmoving and paving machines in the construction and mining industries, using technologies such as GNSS, optical total stations, lasers, and sonics. You will have the unique opportunity to build and manage a Segment Cohort, creating a continuous feedback loop with end-users that validates innovation and shapes the future of construction, mining, and landfill industries.

Key Exciting Responsibilities

  • Establish and communicate a cohesive segment strategy that serves as the "North Star" for product teams to align with broader business goals.

  • Lead a highly engaged Customer Segment Cohort to gather continuous, validated feedback through all phases of product learning and development.

  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to advise product development teams, ensuring execution remains grounded in real-world customer needs.

  • Partner with Competitive Intelligence and parent organizations to synchronize market knowledge and mitigate competitive pressures.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional leads in Design, Research, and Technical teams to build consensus and resolve blockers for segment-specific success.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • You have a proven ability to translate deep customer insights into actionable, long-term strategic frameworks.

  • You are a natural influencer capable of building consensus between parent organizations and internal stakeholders.

  • You have experience monitoring marketplace trends and making sound recommendations amidst complex, contradictory alternatives.

  • You demonstrate exceptional communication skills, with the ability to adapt technical presentations for diverse global audiences.

Bonus Points For:

  • Previous experience working within a joint venture or matrixed global organizational structure.

  • Deep domain knowledge in GNSS, optical total stations, lasers, or sonic positioning technologies.
