Job Summary:

Geisinger is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our team supporting care for adults and adolescents based at the Geisinger Behavioral Health Center in Danville, PA. The FNP will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high quality, patient centered care.

Job Duties:

  • Perform comprehensive medical assessments.

  • Provide medication management, evaluations, and daily patient rounding.

  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, therapists, and case managers.

  • Document all care in the Epic electronic health record.

  • Participate in treatment team meetings and coordinate care transitions.

  • Communicate with families, caregivers, and community providers as needed to support continuity of care.

Practice Environment

  • Patient population: 75% adult, 25% pediatric (age 14+)

  • Daily encounters: 10-16

  • Resources include onsite pharmacy and phlebotomy services; EHR is Epic

Work Schedule

  • Rotating 3 days on, 4 days off

The successful Nurse Practitioner candidate will work in collaboration with the physician and have a certificate of completion from an approved program for Nurse Practitioners or be eligible to hold national certification that allows the NP to work with the patient populations and location settings associated with this position. Must be eligible for licensure as a nurse practitioner in the state of PA.
