Description

American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist - X-Ray with at least 15 months of experience, ARRT certification, and GE OEC c-arm competency for a hospital-based role in Iowa.

Details
  • Hospital-based radiology department with high daily imaging volume across all techs
  • Equipment includes Philips Diagnostic, Carestream portables, Hologic breast machine, Philips portable, Siemens Cysto, GE OEC c-arms, and Toshiba fluoroscopy
  • EMR: Epic
  • Overnight shift beginning at 11:30 PM, with the sole tech on duty until 4:00 AM when a day tech arrives to assist with morning portables
  • Must be available to work 1–2 of the 3 summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day)
Requirements
  • Active ARRT certification required
  • Active AHA or ARC BLS certification required
  • Minimum of 15 months of X-Ray experience in a clinic or hospital setting required; 24 months required for first-time travelers
  • GE OEC c-arm equipment experience required
  • Iowa (IA) radiology license or IDPH State Permit highly preferred; license required if applicable — candidates without an active license must apply upon acceptance
  • Philips equipment experience highly preferred
  • Siemens Cysto equipment experience highly preferred
  • Carestream portable equipment experience preferred
  • Current or recent OR competency and experience preferred
  • Fluoroscopy experience preferred
  • Driver's license required for consideration
  • One supervisory performance evaluation or reference from within the past 2 years preferred for consideration
Additional Information
  • First-time travelers are welcome, provided they have at least 24 months of X-Ray experience
  • Must be comfortable working independently as the sole overnight technologist
  • Candidates who were previously employed by the facility within the past 12 months may not be eligible for consideration
  • RTO is limited to 1 day during the Thanksgiving week (11/26–11/30) and the winter holiday period (12/23–1/2), regardless of holidays worked
