Job description

PagerDuty (NYSE:PD) is a leader in Digital Operations Management. In an always-on world, organizations of all sizes trust PagerDuty to help them deliver a perfect digital experience to their customers, every time. Teams use PagerDuty to identify issues and opportunities in real time and bring together the right people to fix problems faster and prevent them in the future. Over 13,000 organizations (including 60 of Fortune 100) rely on PagerDuty to succeed with Digital Transformation, Cloud Migration, and DevOps Modernization. Notable customers include GE, Cisco, Genentech, Electronic Arts, Cox Automotive, Netflix, Shopify, Zoom, DoorDash, Lululemon and more. We are expanding rapidly as a platform for Digital Operations Management using AI/ML and Automation and growing our adoption by Development, IT, Customer Service, Security, and other teams across the organization.

PagerDuty is looking for a Senior HRIS Analyst to join our centralized, dedicated Workday HRIS team. In this role, you'll drive the design, configuration, implementation, and administration of our Workday ecosystem — and increasingly, help us deliver and adopt the AI capabilities now built into the platform. If you're a big-picture thinker, a hands-on collaborator, and technologically proficient, results-oriented HRIS professional, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

  • Strong understanding and hands-on experience implementing and maintaining Workday modules, including Core HCM, Compensation, Onboarding, Benefits, Payroll, and Security — researching and resolving system problems, unexpected results, or process flaws, and recommending solutions to meet business requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to streamline processes, advise on new functionality, and drive user adoption.
  • Lead the review, testing, and implementation of Workday feature releases, including evaluating new AI-powered capabilities for fit and readiness before rollout to the business.
  • Partner with stakeholders to configure, test, and deliver AI-enabled features and automation within Workday, acting as a key contributor in bringing new AI-powered HR products from pilot to production.
  • Use AI tools in your own day-to-day work — for tasks like data analysis, documentation, testing, or reporting — to increase personal and team efficiency and free up time for higher-value work.
  • Partner with Security, Legal, and IT on responsible AI governance: data privacy, access controls, and change management for AI-enabled business processes.
  • Maintain data integrity across systems by running audits, analyzing data, and correcting discrepancies.
  • Engage with the Workday community (Brainstorm, Community forums, release notes) to stay current on system and AI capabilities, and recommend solutions that address evolving business needs.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Workday experience.
  • Proficient with all Workday modules
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, growth-focused company.
  • Experience using AI tools to improve personal or team productivity (e.g., automating reporting, documentation, or testing) is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Workday Pro Certification in any module (e.g., HCM, Benefits, Payroll, Advanced Compensation).
  • Experience helping deliver AI-powered features or products as part of an HR technology roadmap — configuring, testing, and rolling out new AI capabilities to end users.
  • Agile or Scrum certification.

The base salary range for this position is 114,000 - 191,400 USD. This role may also be eligible for bonus, commission, equity, and/or benefits.

Our base salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range, which is subject to change based on primary work location, reflects the minimum and maximum base salary we expect to pay newly hired employees for the position. Within the range, we determine pay for an individual based on a number of factors including market location, job-related knowledge, skills/competencies and experience.

Your recruiter can share more about the specific offerings for this role, as well as the salary range for your primary work location during the hiring process.
