Job description

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
  • GE Proficy Suite (Kepware, Historian, Plant Applications), SQL scripting, Industrial Protocols (OPC, Modbus, MQTT), Windows Server, VMware/Hyper-V

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Assess existing GE Proficy infrastructure and develop a comprehensive migration plan.
  • Lead the team for End to End migration and support post migration.
  • Good communication skills as more customer communication is required.
  • Perform upgrades and migrations of Kepware, GE iHistorian and Plant Application and related modules to the latest supported versions.
  • Good knowledge in GE Proficy Plant Model Configuration and Debug the Logs. Should know all services involved in GE Plant Apps.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system compatibility and data integrity during migration.
  • Design and implement system architecture changes for scalability and performance improvements.
  • Develop testing protocols, validation plans, and rollback procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data flows, communication protocols (OPC, MQTT, Modbus, etc.), and visualization tools.
  • Maintain detailed project documentation including system configurations, migration logs, and user guides.

Generic Managerial Skills, If any
  • 7+ years of experience with GE Proficy suite (Kepware, Historian, Plant Applications).
  • Proven experience with Historian data migration, Plant Application Upgradation and industrial automation systems.
  • Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (OPC DA/UA, Modbus etc.).
  • Experience with Windows Server environments, SQL Server, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), and backup strategies.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Knowledge of SQL scripting is mandatory and programming (VBScript, PowerShell) is a plus.
  • After-hours or weekend work may occasionally be necessary during cutover/migration phases.
  • On-call support during go-live periods.

Salary Range-$100,000-$140,000 a year
