Company Description

Ready to power the energy revolution? Join Customized Energy Solutions (CES), a global energy consulting and market services firm helping clients navigate complex and rapidly evolving power markets. Today CES supports more than 1,500 clients worldwide, helping manage over 30,000 MW of power assets, schedule approximately 7,200 MW every hour, optimize 4,000 MW of energy storage, and support more than $2.2 billion in annual market bids.

Founded in 1998 in Philadelphia, CES has grown from a one-person startup into a global team of more than 350 associates working across North America, India, Japan, the UAE, Vietnam, Zambia, and other locations around the world.

Our work spans wholesale market operations, retail energy services, consulting, asset management, and emerging grid technologies. CES supports participation across major power markets including PJM, CAISO, ERCOT, MISO, ISO-NE, and NYISO, as well as international markets.

To support clients, CES has developed several proprietary platforms designed to improve market participation and operational efficiency:

CES is in the process of looking for talented individuals with a desire to help support our clients, while also contributing to the overall growth of this company. Candidates who can learn quickly and handle multiple tasks while at the same time being detail oriented enough to make sure things are done right the first time will flourish in this role. Ideal candidates have hands-on experience in power generation operations or energy market scheduling, with a strong preference for those familiar with ISO/RTO protocols. This is considered an entry level role within the MOC, to which CES will provide training to obtain PJM/ NERC Generation certifications.

  • Ensure generation assets are being economically dispatched.
  • Provide and support the coordination of planned, unplanned and emergency outages notifications

  • Knowledge/Experience power trading and scheduling in ISONE, NYISO, PJM, MISO, SPP, ERCOT, CAISO.
  • Other soft skills critical for a high-pressure, 24/7 operations role, such as teamwork, problem-solving under stress, or adaptability.
