GD Energy Products is looking for a Machinist to work in Tulsa, OK. 
1st Shift: Mon - Thurs, 6 am - 6 pm
2nd Shift: Mon - Thurs, 6 pm - 6 am, +$2 shift diff. 
3rd Shift: Fri - Sun, 5:30 am - 6 pm, w/ 4-hour premium.

Job Summary:
Set up, program and operate various types of CNC machine and/or lathes, to perform operations on individual or quantity production, tooling, maintenance and/or experimental parts.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Operates fabrication machinery to produce parts used in manufacturing processes.
  • Reads and interprets blueprints and design sketches to ensure proper dimensions and specifications for parts.
  • Selects the appropriate cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials to be used on machines.
  • Examines and measures completed units and parts to identify any defects and to ensure units conform with predetermined specifications; adjusts machine controls to resolve production errors.
  • Inspects machinery for any needed repairs; performs minor repairs within expertise.
  • Maintains cleanliness and safety of work area.
  • Complies with applicable safety standards and regulations.
  • Regular attendance and compliance with all Company policies and rules is an essential function for the job. Overtime, including potential for nights and weekend shifts may be required.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Ability to operate various types of machine tools to perform progressive machining.
  • Ability to read blueprints and plans.
  • Excellent mechanical skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Vocational/technical school training and apprenticeship required or minimum 1-year experience with CNC boring mill/lathe machines which includes proper set up and operation.

Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of standing and bending required.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
