Job description

Overview

We're hiring CNC Machinists for our precision manufacturing shop.

You'll run 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC machines producing ultra-precise inserts for the machining industry, holding extremely tight tolerances on every part. The work happens in a clean, organized, temperature-controlled facility.

Grinding experience isn't required. If your CNC fundamentals are solid - setups, feeds and speeds, blueprint reading, GD&T - we'll train you on high-precision grinding and advanced multi-axis equipment.

Compensation

  • $27 - $33 / hr total comp

Hiring on 2nd and 3rd Shift

  • 2nd Shift: 3pm - 11pm (M-F)
  • 3rd Shift: 11pm - 7am (M-F)

Responsibilities

  • Setups: Set up and operate multiple CNC periphery grinding machines.
  • Blueprints & GD&T: Read complex prints, GD&T specs, and work instructions.
  • In-Process Inspection: Verify tight tolerances with micrometers, calipers, and height gauges.
  • Program Adjustments: Dial in grinding cycles to maintain process integrity.
  • Tooling Maintenance: Maintain and resurface machine tooling as needed.
  • Troubleshooting: Solve complex machine problems, collaborating with technical experts.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 2+ years CNC machining (milling, turning, or grinding)
  • Solid fundamentals: tooling, feeds and speeds, setups
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T
  • Experience with precision inspection tools
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Commitment to safe work practices

Preferred:

  • Exposure to 4- or 5-axis machining
  • Basic G-code or CNC programming knowledge
  • Aerospace, medical device, or defense industry background
  • Grinding experience
