Job description

Position: SIGINT Instructor
Type: Full-time
Location: Fort Bragg, NC
Travel: 10%
Position Summary: The Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) Instructional Support Specialist provides advanced instructional, curriculum development, and training support services for the U.S. Army John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School (USAJFKSWCS) at Fort Bragg. This position is responsible for developing and delivering SIGINT and Multi-Domain Operations training to U.S. Special Operations Forces (USSOF) and interagency personnel, ensuring all instruction is conducted in accordance with approved Programs of Instruction (POIs), Army doctrine, and USAJFKSWCS policies and regulations. This position plays a vital role in preparing Special Operations and interagency personnel to collect, analyze, and exploit signals intelligence while supporting operational decision-making across complex and contested Multi-Domain environments.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Deliver classroom, laboratory, practical exercise, and field-based instruction in SIGINT and Multi-Domain Operations disciplines.
  • Train USSOF and interagency personnel on SIGINT principles, methodologies, technologies, and operational applications. This includes:
  1. Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) and Electromagnetic Warfare (EW) Policy and Doctrine
  2. Radio Frequency (RF) Theory
  3. Full Spectrum Signal Characteristics and Parameters
  4. Push-To-Talk (PTT) Communications
  5. Cellular Networks and Communications
  6. 802.11 (WiFi) Networks
  7. Satellite Networks and Communications
  8. Signals Identification and Analysis
  9. Telecommunications Operations and Analysis
  10. Proximal Access Operations
  11. SIGINT Analysis and Reporting
  12. Multi-Domain Operations Integration
  13. Culminating Exercise (CULEX) and Full Mission Profile (FMP) Operations
  • Develop, review, update, and revise curriculum, lesson plans, training aids, and student materials to maintain relevance with current doctrine and operational requirements.
  • Support curriculum design activities that foster critical thinking, analytical reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ensure instructional content supports the transfer of knowledge and skills from the institutional environment to operational deployments.
  • Provide recommendations to the Government regarding curriculum enhancements and doctrinal updates.
  • Conduct instruction in accordance with Department of the Army, T2C, USAJFKSWCS, and approved POI requirements.
  • Facilitate practical exercises, mission scenarios, and Culminating Exercise (CULEX) Full Mission Profile (FMP) events.
  • Maintain required instructor certifications and professional qualifications.
  • Incorporate emerging SIGINT technologies and methodologies into course instruction and training products.

Required Qualifications:
  • US Citizen
  • Valid U.S. driver's license
  • Must hold an active Top Secret Security Clearance (SCI eligible)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Clear and effective verbal and written communication
  • Completion of Signals Intelligence training from a recognized government cryptologic institution (e.g., NSA, GCHQ, DoW, or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated experience in Signals Intelligence operations, analysis, collection, and reporting.
  • Familiarity with current SIGINT methodologies, technologies, and emerging capabilities.
  • Experience developing and delivering military or intelligence training programs.
  • Knowledge of SIGINT and Electromagnetic Warfare doctrine, tactics, techniques, and procedures.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and instructional presentation skills.
  • Ability to update and modernize curriculum based on changes in doctrine, technology, and operational requirements.

Physical Demands and Work Environment: While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk, listen, and write. The employee frequently is required to use foot/ankle motions, hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is required to stand, walk, sit; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
