Summary

The Quality Assurance Inspector aids in ensuring high quality and efficiency in our daily work operations, while maintaining safety regulations and requirements. The quality control inspector performs visual inspections of inbound purchased parts, raw material, in-process assemblies, final inspection, and product conformity, at predetermined inspection areas throughout the facility.

Duties and Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform the following essential duties satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned to address business needs and changing business practices.

  • Accurately inspects and documents results of visual testing.
  • Identifies, communicates, and records defects
  • Verifies repairs and re-work have been completed and meet quality standards
  • Reviews in-process documentation for accuracy and completion
  • Monitors area of responsibility for parts identification, measuring and test gauge control, and correct lot information for in-process assemblies
  • Works with outside inspectors as needed

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Ability to keep accurate records in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to accurately complete and document visual inspection
  • Ability to follow written procedures
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectivelyย 
  • Proficient in computer applications including Microsoft Outlook
  • Ability to obtain NDT Certification within first year of employment

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years manufacturing experience
  • 1+ years experience in quality assurance, welding, or coatings
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and SmartSheet
