Job Summary
The Recruiter leads full-cycle talent acquisition for GBC Food Services and its fresh-food concepts, supporting corporate, field operations, franchise sales, warehouse, and specialty-food positions across multiple markets. This role converts approved headcount into accurate requisitions, targeted sourcing plans, disciplined selection processes, and timely onboarding handoffs. The Recruiter owns candidate and hiring-manager communication, maintains Paylocity as the recruiting system of record, and partners with Human Resources, Finance, and business leaders to meet workforce priorities while protecting compliance, confidentiality, and the GBC employer brand.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
  • Coordinate the work of external recruiting partners, staffing agencies, and temporary or project-based recruiting resources as assigned.
  • Provide process guidance to hiring managers and interview teams on structured, consistent, and lawful selection practices.
  • Train hiring partners and designated Human Resources team members on requisition, interview, disposition, and Paylocity workflow standards.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
  • Partner with the HR Director, Human Resources Business Partner, and department leaders to clarify role scope, required capabilities, compensation parameters, interview ownership, and target start dates before launch.
  • Open and manage only fully approved requisitions, confirming the job description, position control, budget alignment, work location, employment status, and required approvals.
  • Lead full-cycle recruiting from intake and posting through sourcing, screening, interviews, selection, offer acceptance, pre-employment steps, and onboarding handoff.
  • Build sourcing strategies using job boards, direct outreach, employee referrals, social media, professional and community networks, hiring events, and talent pipelines.
  • Recruit effectively for both professional and high-volume roles, including hard-to-fill, multilingual, multi-state, and market-launch positions.
  • Screen and assess candidates against job-related requirements, essential functions, leadership expectations, and company values; present clear, evidence-based recommendations.
  • Coordinate interviews, prepare interview teams, gather timely feedback, facilitate selection decisions, and keep candidates informed throughout the process.
  • Prepare offer documentation within approved compensation and employment parameters; coordinate references, background checks, and other lawful pre-employment requirements with Human Resources.
  • Maintain complete and accurate records in Paylocity, including requisition status, candidate stage, interview notes, dispositions, approvals, offer details, and closure documentation.
  • Deliver regular recruiting reports and actionable insights on requisition aging, pipeline health, time to fill, source effectiveness, interview conversion, offer acceptance, and early retention.
  • Partner with Human Resources and Finance to reconcile open positions, approved headcount, forecast impacts, start dates, and filled or cancelled requisitions; promptly escalate discrepancies.
  • Manage staffing-agency and vendor activity, including role briefs, service expectations, candidate ownership, fee terms, temp-to-hire coordination, and performance follow-up.
  • Strengthen GBC's employer brand through accurate job postings, responsive candidate care, hiring campaigns, and consistent communication while maintaining EEO, ADA, FCRA, record-retention, and confidentiality standards.

Travel & Schedule
  • Travel: Up to 15-20% travel may be required for field visits, hiring events, job fairs, new-market launches, and meetings with business partners.
  • Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday, with flexibility for occasional early mornings, evenings, or weekends to support interviews, hiring events, launches, or urgent staffing needs.

Qualifications:
  • Recruiting Expertise: Demonstrated knowledge of full-cycle recruiting, intake calibration, sourcing, structured interviewing, selection, offers, and onboarding handoffs across varied job levels.
  • Systems & Analytics: Proficiency with Paylocity or a comparable ATS/HRIS, Microsoft Office, sourcing platforms, and recruiting dashboards; able to convert data into clear actions.
  • Sourcing & Market Agility: Ability to develop pipelines for high-volume and specialized roles across multiple locations, cultures, languages, and labor markets.
  • Stakeholder Partnership: Consultative approach with executives, managers, Human Resources, Finance, vendors, and candidates; able to set expectations, challenge unclear requirements, and drive timely decisions.
  • Compliance & Judgment: Working knowledge of employment-related recruiting requirements and sound judgment when handling confidential information, candidate records, and sensitive hiring decisions.
  • Communication & Execution: Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and follow-through skills; able to manage competing requisitions, maintain detail accuracy, and provide a high-touch candidate experience.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, communications, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience considered.
  • Three to five years of full-cycle recruiting experience, including responsibility for sourcing, screening, interview coordination, offers, and ATS administration.
  • Experience recruiting a mix of professional, field, sales, operations, warehouse, food service, retail, hospitality, franchise, or distribution roles strongly preferred.
  • Experience with multi-state recruiting, staffing agencies, high-volume hiring, and Paylocity or a comparable ATS preferred; PHR, SHRM-CP, or recruiting certification is a plus.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and work on a computer and telephone.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Ability to travel to corporate offices, field locations, warehouses, retail sites, job fairs, and hiring events as business needs require.
