Job Title

Great Basin College is seeking a motivated and dependable GBC student to provide front office support at our Winnemucca location.

Position Summary

This position is ideal for a student who enjoys helping others, has excellent customer service skills, and is interested in supporting fellow students as they navigate college life.

Qualifications
  • Must be a student of Great Basin College
  • Must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits for the semester and maintain a 2.0 GPA
  • Must qualify for Work Study or RSP through Student Financial Services
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Basic computer proficiency; experience with Microsoft Office and general office equipment is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Proctor exams while maintaining the security and confidentiality of all testing materials.
  • Provide excellent customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
  • Assist students with basic computer usage and navigation.
  • Answer phones and greet visitors.
  • Accept forms and other documents.
  • Schedule advising appointments.
  • Direct students and visitors to the appropriate college departments and resources.
  • Assist front office staff with daily operations.
  • Operate general office equipment, including computers, printers, copiers, and scanners.
  • Provide encouragement and positive support to students.

Salary: $15.00 per hour

Hours: Up to 19 hours per week with a maximum of 79.5 hours per month.
