About The Role

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a variety of high-precision equipment, including CNC machines, Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs), and deburring systems. This role ensures maximum uptime, optimal performance, and compliance with safety and quality standards in a regulated aerospace and defense environment.


Requirements:

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance and emergency repairs on CNC mills, lathes, EDMs, and CMMs.

• Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on 5-axis trunnion CNC machines equipped with FANUC controllers.

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues in high-precision machining equipment.

• Maintain and service deburring and finishing machines (e.g., tumblers, vibratory finishers, hand tools).

• Calibrate and verify equipment performance according to OEM specs and quality standards.

• Read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics, machine manuals, and engineering drawings.

• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation (manuals, PM schedules, repair records).

• Coordinate with equipment vendors, service technicians, and engineering teams

• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards in all maintenance activities.


Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience maintaining CNC and/or precision machining equipment.

• Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, and control systems.

• Familiarity 5-Axis Trunnion CNC equipped with FANUC controllers, Siemens, or Heidenhain CNC controls.

• Experience working with CMMs (Zeiss, Mitutoyo, Hexagon) and knowledge of metrology principles.

• Basic understanding of PLCs, servo motors, and industrial automation.

• Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.

Shift for this role will be 5:00 AM - 2:30 PM


Preferred

• Experience in aerospace/defense manufacturing environments.

• Familiarity with TPM and Lean Manufacturing principles.

• Welding, fabrication, or machining background a plus.
