Job Title: Gate House Attendant
Classification: Non-Exempt
Role Description
The Member Care Team (MCT) is the first and last Impression Dallas Country Club members and guests have of the Club and MCT is responsible for creating a friendly and welcoming environment that add extra eyes and ears for Dallas Country Club.
Dallas Country Club is seeking individuals who have a passion for hospitality to ensure Dallas Country Club is a place where all feel welcomed and safe. The position is ideal for a welcoming and dynamic individual with great service skills, awareness and the ability to engage with members, guests, vendors, and management.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Member liaison
  • Greeting Members and Guests
  • Knowledge of the Club business; ability to answer Club wide questions
  • Effectively responds to Members' questions, comments or suggestions in a timely manner
  • Maintains gate access database
  • Verifying and notifying staff of requested/approved reciprocal requests
  • Promptly answers and processes all submitted Club maintenance requests
  • Be present by patrolling designated areas.
  • Provide customer service to members and guests by answering questions, providing directions and addressing or directing concerns.
  • Enhance the perception of safety and security by having a visible and alert presence.
  • Report equipment failure including streetlights, signs, pedestrian amenities, etc.
  • Assist with first aid and emergency situations if needed, training will be provided.
  • Provide support for special events as needed.
  • Represent Dallas Country Club in a professional and hospitable manner while on the job.
  • Complete daily activity reports and other assignments as specified by your shift supervisor.
  • Operate a two-way radio.

The ideal candidate will have the following experience, skills, and knowledge:
  • 2+ years' experience in customer service or similar work-related field.
  • Hospitality field experience preferred.
  • Must be 17 years of age or older.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including but not limited to Word, Excel

  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Self-sufficient and ability to work with little supervision.
  • Team player.
  • Professional appearance, with a pleasant and mature demeanor.

  • Ability to be on your feet directing and greeting Members and guests for significant lengths of time.
  • Ability to communicate respectfully and effectively using courtesy, tact, and good judgement.
  • Ability to work independently with general supervision.
  • Ability to work outside shifts enduring all types of weather conditions
  • Adequate hearing, vision and physical ability to perform the work assigned.
  • Ability to perform routine, repetitive activities.
  • Ability and willingness to follow directions.
  • Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to perform assigned work independently and responsibly, as well as part of a team.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions, including following established safety rules.
  • Lift and transport objects weighing 30 lbs. regularly and 50 lbs. occasionally
