Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:
This role is pivotal in supporting our US Warfighters and the AbilityOne program, contributing to ReadyOne Industries' mission. The Sr Production Supervisor oversees key aspects of the Garment Production departments, driving initiatives that uphold our commitment to excellence and strategic objectives. This position demands a leader who can integrate operational goals with our core mission, enhancing our services' effectiveness and the opportunities provided to individuals with disabilities.

Provides effective Leadership, clear direction, and continuous motivation to Supervisors, Team leads and employees to produce first-quality garments in a cost-efficient, on-time, and safe manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Develop, implement and promote strategies that ensure operational activities align with ReadyOne's cultural behaviors of accountability, diversity, honesty, collaboration, empathy, innovation, passion, and effective communication.
  2. Adhere to and execute company policies and procedures while driving continuous improvement across all operational processes.
  3. Lead projects and initiatives that directly contribute to the company's strategic goals, including enhancing operational efficiency and maximizing profitability.
  4. Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements, ensuring operations support our commitments to the US Warfighters and the AbilityOne program.
  5. Collaborate with other department heads and employees to integrate and streamline efforts, promoting a unified approach to achieving ReadyOne's broad organizational objectives.
  6. Facilitate the adoption of new technologies and methodologies that support process improvements and innovation within the department.
  7. Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess effectiveness and make data-driven decisions for operational enhancements.
  8. Oversee and mentor team members, ensuring professional development aligns with the company's talent management objectives.
  9. Ensure the protection of company assets and information through rigorous adherence to cybersecurity measures and IT policies.
  10. Responsible for directing, planning, control and execution of the garment production programs assigned to meeting the Organization's objectives.
  11. Manage and create reports of production performance to include attainment, efficiencies, cost, and quality goals and other KPI's.
  12. Assure that the supervisors, Team Leads and employees, follow the Total Quality Management system - QMS schedules.
  13. Assure that supervisors and Team Leads attend the required ROI Training and Development curriculum.
  14. Assure that the supervisors and Team Leads understand and participate in the Performance Management process.
  15. Follow line balancing processes to ensure good production workflow to achieve daily goals.
  16. Communicate daily production status and changes to employees as needed.
  17. Assure daily monitoring and reporting of absenteeism and balance the production line efficiently.
  18. Assure daily time & attendance input and reporting for all operation in charge.
  19. Assure daily production input, operational efficiencies reporting and material ordering.
  20. Perform administrative functions that include Production, Quality, Cost Efficiency, Safety reports, and HR documentation.
  21. Hold employees accountable for following company policies and procedures and address employee relations issues.
  22. Ensure that proper work assignments are issued according to need.
  23. Participate, support, and encourage safety programs.
  24. Supports accident investigations and implements approved recommendations in conjunction with EHS Manager.
  25. Conduct weekly departmental inspections to identify possible hazards.
  26. Participate in production meetings.
  27. Conduct weekly one on one meetings with supervisors.
  28. Communicate information or changes within the organization to employees.
  29. Determine work procedures, prepare work schedules, and expedite workflow.
  30. Standardize procedures to improve the efficiency of workers.
  31. Resolve grievances.
  32. Interview and hire new employees.
  33. Supervise and monitor staff which involves direct and indirect responsibilities for training, motivating, counseling, conducting performance evaluations, developing goals, and developing procedures to ensure the achievement of goals following company policies and procedures.
  34. Continually provide feedback for both positive and negative performance.
  35. Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed on the job description are representative of the skill, and/or ability required.

  • Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Experience: Three years or more related experience and/or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Specific Skills: Mathematics, communication, problem-solving, and people skills.
  • Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, etc.: Desired First Aid/CPR Certified.
  • Other Skills and Abilities: English proficiency is required/ Spanish proficiency helpful. Effective oral and written communication skills required. Ability to use general office equipment (i.e. facsimile, photocopy, and/or related office peripherals). Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word. Desired knowledge and/or experience on Garment sewing industry

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Frequently sits bends, kneels, and reaches out with hands/arms.
  • Must be able to lift/move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift/move up to 25 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Regular exposure to a factory environment.
