Familiarity with POS terminals, cash handling procedures, and possibly inventory management software is important. What is a garden cashier?

Garden cashiers are retail employees who work primarily in garden centers, nurseries, or the garden department of stores. Their main responsibilities include handling customer transactions, assisting with product inquiries, and sometimes helping with stocking or minor plant care. They also ensure accurate pricing, process sales efficiently, and often provide basic advice about plants and gardening supplies. Good customer service skills and basic knowledge of garden products are important for this role.

Staying organized, maintaining a friendly attitude, and communicating clearly with both customers and team members are crucial for managing these busy periods.
