Garde Manger - Missouri Athletic Club - Downtown

JOB OVERVIEW

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and portion cold meats, fish, and poultry.
  • Prepare appetizers, hors d'oeuvres, salads, sandwiches, sauces, dressings, and other cold food items.
  • Follow Club recipes and presentation standards.
  • Maintain proper food handling, sanitation, and safety standards.
  • Properly store, label, and date food products.
  • Monitor food supplies and communicate shortages to the Sous Chef.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Assist with additional duties as assigned by the Sous Chef or Executive Chef.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 2–4 years of professional kitchen experience.
  • Strong knife skills and understanding of basic cooking techniques.
  • Ability to run a station independently.
  • Experience in high-end restaurants, hotels, or private clubs preferred.
  • Ability to follow direction, maintain consistency, and operate under pressure.
  • Food safety certification preferred.
