Job description

Community-Based Direct Support Professional โ€” Paid Training!

Location: Carrick, Mt. Oliver, Dormont, Castle Shannon areas

Shifts: Full-Time (37.5โ€“40 hrs/week); Sunday - Thursday (hours vary)

Help people with intellectual disabilities and autism stay active, independent, and involved in their communities!

Through our Community Participation Supports (CPS)/Community Servicesย program, Mainstay empowers people to explore new opportunities, build their skills, and get involved in activities they enjoy. We focus on active and valued participation that reflects each personโ€™s interests, strengths, and goals - helping them grow confidence, independence, and community connections.

What Youโ€™ll Do

  • Transport individuals to community activities, work, and appointments
  • Support hobbies, social activities, and confidence-building experiences
  • Encourage independence and teach everyday life skills
  • Promote safety, communication, and personal choice
  • Complete simple documentation

Education and Experience

  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Eligibility for Act 33/34 clearances.
  • Pre-employment drug screen required.
  • High School Diploma/GED
