Communications Gameday Assistant
Mission

Position Description
As an extension of the communications department, the communications gameday assistant serves as the first line of contact for credentialed media and will support game day operations while also delivering accurate, professional, and high-quality service to media partners.
Essential Functions
  • Set up the press box and broadcast booths prior to media arrival
  • Assist media with questions or requests
  • Assist at credential will call, field vest checkout, and armband pickup stations
  • Gather, transcribe, and distribute postgame player/coach media sessions (Transcription experience is strongly preferred)
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills & Abilities
  • Prior experience and proficiency transcribing recordings is strongly preferred. Selected candidates will be asked to complete a timed transcription test.
  • Ability to assist in game day set-up and breakdown which may require frequent lifting and/or carrying up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to collaborate and work well with others
  • A strong work ethic and the ability to thrive in a deadline driven environment
  • Extremely detail-oriented with an exceptional eye for quality and precision
  • Flexible and capable in the ability to lead and be led
  • High level of respect and professionalism in the presence of NFL personnel and the media
  • Must be available to work all Buccaneers home games

Experience & Education
  • Prior experience transcribing audio recordings
  • High school diploma or commensurate work experience
  • Prior experience working or volunteering in collegiate, professional or minor league Sports Information or Athletic Departments

Work Environment
  • The Buccaneers are a professional, fast-paced, creative business environment.
  • Extended evening and weekend work hours are sometimes required. Required to work all home and some away games (some travel expected). May have to work occasional holidays.
  • High intensity work environment in executing deliverables on short deadlines.
  • Computers and desk work a significant part of daily activities.

Physical Fitness Standards
Must be able to perform occasional physical tasks, which may include working outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat
