Job description

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Provides leadership to dealers and fellow coworkers through example and sharing of knowledge and skill.
  2. Maintain awareness of pit activity at all times. Acts to reduce or eliminate mistakes and ensures customers and dealers comply with gaming regulations. Keeps Pit Manager informed of any concerns.
  3. Supervises and develops and effective staff by assisting and making recommendations regarding hiring, training, rewarding, and disciplining staff. Develops staff to meet and exceed performance expectations by establishing and maintaining positive work morale and effective employee relations.
  4. Greets guests in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner.
  5. Monitors customer transactions and rates player action as assigned.
  6. Monitors floor activity, protects pit bankroll, the playing public, and casino's assets.
  7. Supervises dealers in developing and maintaining effective working relationships and good customer service skills with all guests and employees. Provides personal attention and assistance to customers: Verifies customer winnings and explains gaming rules and regulations, as necessary. Acts to keep customers satisfied and motivated to return whether they win or lose.
  8. Builds and maintains rapport with casino players with the goal of achieving guest satisfaction at all times. Investigates and resolves customer complaints in a courteous and timely manner.
  9. Follows established security protocols to ensure a safe casino work environment.
  10. Performs duties in compliance with the Colorado Limited Gaming Act, Internal Control Minimum Procedures, internal policies and procedures, and Colorado Limited Gaming Regulations.
  11. Performs other duties assigned by the Pit Manager, including special projects as needed and directed.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Demonstrated knowledge of pit operations, and gaming rules and regulations. Demonstrated experience receiving, securing, handling, counting, reconciling, and distributing large sums of money. Demonstrated working knowledge of assigned games. Demonstrated effective and diplomatic customer service and communication skills, which includes contacts with employees and guests. Demonstrated experience supervising and motivating dealers.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Graduation from High School or equivalent. Demonstrated recent and related experience working in the casino in a managerial or supervisory role.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Demonstrated effective and diplomatic oral and written communication skills using English.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must have a valid and current State of Colorado Gaming License. Must be at least eighteen years of age.
OTHER SKILLS/ABILITIES: Experience motivating and inspiring staff. In depth knowledge of Table Games rules and regulations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Essential duties involve performing physical exertion: dexterity with Table Games equipment, frequent brisk walking, and climbing stairs, bending, stretching, reaching, pushing, kneeling, squatting, crouching, stooping, and standing for an entire work shift with standard breaks. Essential duties require lifting up to 30 pounds and working a flexible workweek with additional hours on a routine basis, working any day of the week, any shift of the day.

$25+ an hour based on experience
