Our service and solutions delivery start with understanding each client's end-state, and then seamlessly integrating within each Agency's organization to improve and enhance strategic and technical operations and deployments.
Position Overview:
BLN24 is seeking an AWS Cloud Engineer to join our team. The Cloud Engineer will join our project team to deploy, sustain and configure AWS GovCloud environment, including Windows virtual servers, configure COTS system bases on IIS Server, Couchbase database, configure networking, ALBs, security groups and VPCs. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience with AWS GovCloud, Windows, IIS, application deployment and configuration, security and configuring secure AWS environment for the DoD Army client.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and architect target AWS GovCloud environment.
  • Deploy Windows virtual servers and install IIS and Couchbase based COTS applications.
  • Configure AWS GovCloud networking in restricted Army cloud environment.
  • Install and configure COTS products on Windows virtual servers.
  • Create and configure ALBs, listeners, target groups, generate, install certificates and troubleshooting connectivity issues
  • Provision and configure AWS Services, such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS and other cloud services.
  • Create and update reference architecture documentation, including specifications and diagrams.
  • Optimize and harden target environments according to DoD security guides to ensure seamless operations of highly transactional environment.
  • Support ATO documentation and security reviews, hardening of the servers and apply STIGs.
  • Patch and maintain server, environment and resolve application issues.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in AWS engineering, system, application administration.
  • Experience managing secure environments.
  • Experience with Amazon AWS GovCloud and knowledge of AWS services and structures
  • Experience administering Windows, IIS and COTS deployments, including databases.
  • Experience automating deployments and using AWS services to optimize migration.
  • Setup, configure AWS networking and ALBs.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent architecture skills and ability to develop architecture and AWS diagrams.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • DOD Secret Clerance (US. Citizenship Required)
