Job Summary:
Base-2 Solutions is seeking a Software Engineer Level 4 to develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems supporting mission-focused environments. This role focuses on backend development, data engineering, and API development, emphasizing scalable systems using Python and FastAPI.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems, including processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems, based upon documented requirements.
โ€ข Provide specific input to software component design, including hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of COTS/GOTS in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from the system level to individual software components.
โ€ข Design, implement, and integrate software applications or perform software engineering tasks.
โ€ข Utilize software engineering and design methodologies appropriate to the development, integration, and production environment.
โ€ข Ensure efficient delivery of software engineering capabilities using industry standards and repeatable processes.
โ€ข Mitigate risks, control costs and schedule variance, and effectively manage large-scale, integrated software projects.
โ€ข Review and test software components for adherence to design requirements and document test results.
