Job description

At Netflix, our mission is to entertain the world. Together, we are writing the next episode - pushing the boundaries of storytelling, global fandom and making the unimaginable a reality. We are a dream team obsessed with the uncomfortable excitement of discovering what happens when you merge creativity, intuition and cutting-edge technology. Come be a part of what's next.

As a Slate Planning Manager for Netflix Games, you will support portfolio-level strategy for how our games slate shows up across discovery and promotional surfaces. Sitting within the Portfolio Production & Operations organization on the Portfolio Management Team, you'll work at the intersection of portfolio planning, data-informed decision making, and cross-functional coordination.

You will help ensure our high-impact promotional real estate across the Netflix ecosystem is used in an effective and efficient way to drive game discovery, installs, and engagement. Partnering closely with Games Merchandising, Games Product Managers, Games Title Product Management, Games Finance & Strategy, and the Games Vertical GMs, you'll help define what should be featured, when, where, and to whom, contributing recommendations that balance short-term needs with long-term portfolio health.

You'll sit within the Portfolio Production & Operations organization on the Portfolio Management Team, serving as a lead hub for cross-functional coordination, visibility, and long-term franchise planning for games.

Key Responsibilities

Portfolio Strategy & Planning

  • Support the portfolio-level slate strategy for how Netflix Games titles are prioritized across launches, live service beats, and evergreen programming in an always-on environment.

  • Develop clear, data-backed recommendations on how to allocate limited placements and visibility to maximize installs, gameplay, and long-term value.

  • Contribute to a portfolio-first view that balances new title launches with ongoing support for franchises and live service titles.

  • Help identify and surface potential collisions across Games titles and with broader Netflix priorities, and work with senior partners to plan holistically rather than title-by-title.

Intake, Prioritization & Tradeoffs

  • Act as a central coordination point for slate and placement needs across multiple Games GMs and studio stakeholders.

  • Gather and synthesize inputs from Gaming Vertical GMs, Product, and other partners into clear, structured proposals for portfolio visibility.

  • Highlight tradeoffs in a constrained environment and support senior leaders in making the highest-impact use of limited promotional and discovery real estate.

  • Help establish and maintain processes, frameworks, and guardrails that bring order and consistency to a complex and fast-moving programming ecosystem.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Execution Partnership

  • Partner closely with the Games Merchandising team to translate slate and portfolio direction into day-to-day execution, ensuring alignment between strategy and implementation.

  • Collaborate with Games Title Product Management, Vertical GMs, and the VP of Portfolio Strategy to align on priorities, timing, and expected outcomes.

  • Coordinate with broader Netflix teams to represent Games needs and support integrated planning across the service.

Data, Targeting & Optimization

  • Collaborate with Data Science & Engineering and Games Title Product Management to analyze performance and improve the targeting, effectiveness, and efficiency of Games placements.

  • Use data, experimentation, and insights to inform recommendations and refine slate and placement approaches over time.

  • Track performance across placements and surface learnings that can improve future planning and frameworks.

Influence & Stakeholder Management

  • Use data, portfolio context, and clear reasoning to inform and influence stakeholders' decisions on slate and placement priorities.

  • Communicate recommendations and tradeoffs in a structured, transparent way to partners who own P&Ls or product verticals.

  • Help reinforce a portfolio-first mindset across Games by consistently applying agreed principles and guardrails in your day-to-day work.

Qualifications

  • 5-8 years of experience in digital merchandising, platform programming, editorial strategy, or portfolio planning (e.g., app stores, content platforms, marketplaces, or large-scale digital ecosystems).

  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to portfolio-level decisions, including tradeoffs in constrained environments.

  • Strong data fluency, comfortable using quantitative and qualitative insights to shape recommendations and support stakeholder discussions.

  • Experience working cross-functionally with senior partners who own P&Ls or product verticals.

  • Excellent judgment, structured thinking, and the ability to clearly explain why certain opportunities should be prioritized over others.

  • Passion for games, discovery, and building scalable systems that improve outcomes over time.

  • Los Angeles preferred; remote OK
