The University of Indianapolis is looking for an energetic and driven Graduate
Assistant to elevate the game day experience for fans and participants at UIndy Athletic Events. The successful candidate will lead staffing efforts for game day and train staff on customer service standards, communicate logistics with participants, and assist with facility setup and break down.

REQUIREMENTS/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Key Responsibilities
● Implement and execute a comprehensive plan that focuses on delivering a best-in-class experience
to all participants, fans, and staff.
● Recruit, train, and lead a team of student assistants to serve as primary customer service liaisons.
● Ensure venue safety, security, and cleanliness on a daily basis.
● Assist with setup and tear down for events.
● Lead game day ticketing efforts.
● Serve as Game Manager as assigned.
● Assist with facility checklist items.
● Serve as the on-site point of contact for assigned external event rentals.

Experience

● Previous experience in athletic administration, marketing, communications, event management, or related fields is preferred.
Education:
● Bachelor’s degree required
● Acceptance into a UIndy graduate program required
Skills & Abilities:
● Strong written and verbal communication skills
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team
● High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
● Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Adobe Creative Suite, StatCrew, NCAA LiveStats, and/or social media platforms preferred (based on area)
● Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Other Requirements:
● Valid driver’s license
● Willingness to travel and work evenings/weekends as required
