Extended Day Staff Member

Specific Duties Include:

  • Supervise and engage students in structured and unstructured activities
  • Assist with homework support and academic enrichment
  • Plan and lead age-appropriate games, crafts, and enrichment activities
  • Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive environment for all participants
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all students at all times
  • Communicate effectively with students, families, and staff
  • Help with daily set-up, clean-up, and organization of program materials
  • Follow all school and program policies and procedures

Experience

  • Prior experience working with children in a school, camp, or youth program setting preferred

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • High school diploma or GED required; some college coursework in education, child development, or related field preferred

 Schedule

  • Extended day operates every school day from 3:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.
  • Position is open to anyone that can consistently work at least 2 days per week

Status

  • This is a part-time, hourly position
  • Non-benefited position


 

Reports to: Extended Day Manager
 

Compensation: $16.00 - $24.00/hr
This position requires a background check and submission of fingerprints to the New York State Education Department.
