Who are we?
Code Ninjas is the nation's fastest-growing kids coding franchise. In our center, kids ages 7-14 learn to code in a fun, non-intimidating way - by playing and building video games they love. Kids have a blast and can't wait to come back. Parents are thrilled as their children gain confidence and new skills including coding, math, logic, and problem-solving, as they progress from white to black belt. What are we looking for?
We are looking for a Lead Coding Instructor to join our team of dynamic, energetic, forward-thinking minds, working toward our common goal: providing a fun and safe learning environment for children. Our Senseis are the lifeblood of our Code Ninjas center. This individual oversees the day-to-day coaching and student engagement. Are you experienced in working with children? Do you enjoy teaching and building problem-solving skills in young engineering minds? Have you mentored youth? This could be the role for you.
Responsibilities include:
  • Complete training on the Code Ninjas curriculum and teaching systems
  • Create a positive, engaging, and safe environment where students can learn and grow
  • Work with children to identify skill levels and provide individualized support
  • Assist with student onboarding and provide feedback to parents after tours and trial sessions
  • Follow daily opening and closing procedures
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the dojo according to corporate standards
  • Report weekly to the Center Assistant Manager regarding student progress and center operations
  • Report daily to the Center Manager regarding activities, productivity, and overall dojo performance
  • Support camps, events, and other center activities as needed

Qualifications:
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must be able to work on-site at our Canton, Massachusetts location
  • Previous experience working with children ages 7+ (mentoring, tutoring, coaching, childcare, etc.)
  • Experience working with the general public and providing excellent customer service
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Comfortable learning and teaching basic coding and technology concepts
  • Energetic, dependable, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
  • Must enjoy working with kids and creating a fun learning atmosphere
